Return to Book Page. Preview — Lyrion's Gift by Jade Astor. The duties of his office require that he father a son and royal heir, but he has no interest in either marriage or the females of his kind. When he hears the legend of a strange race of elves in which the males can bear children, he is determined to claim one of them as his mate. Unfortunately, he soon discovers that getting what he wants will not be as easy as he imagined. Lyrion, the man his soldiers deliver to him, conceives a son and immediately begins to long for the comforts of his own village.
Talek must convince both his lovers that the growing passion between them will be enough to create a happy, though unusual, royal family. Get A Copy. More Details Original Title. Elven Conceptions 1. The prince shows disregard towards Kevris and tells him his position is not secure. Then he sends out soldiers to find one of the 'hidden' elves. Once they come upon Lyrion, who stripped and had finished masterbating in a tree, they basically take him prisoner. They 'inspect' him, thou it's not clear to me weather they actually penetrated him with a finger or not. They do not bother to offer him any clothes and barely make a concession of a blanket at night. Then he gets to the palace, and upon meeting the prince and being shown to his quarters, the prince for all intents and purposes forces Lyrion to suck him off.
Lyrion doesn't fight and ends up willing but he is not in a position to offer consent. Then, the next night the prince gets him drunk and with Kevris help ends up taking him, in which he immediately gets pregnant. Then when Lyrion expresses wanting to return to his village so his family doesn't worry about him, the prince takes it the wrong way and blows up. Eventually the three work it out but to me is WAY too late to make up for the shitty way the prince treats both of them.
Aug 26, ReviewerLarissa rated it did not like it Shelves: m-m-fantasy , m-m-books. I should have known better, but I was intrigued. However, the writing is shallow, as are the characters. They are underdeveloped and superficial at best. Lyrion is kidnapped and taken naked to the king. He offers no protest and in no time at all he is happily sucking cock and apparently in love with both the king and his concubinus Of course there is a big misunderstanding.
Even as a light read this book is in no way satisfying or fun. Too bad. Talek was a douche. I didn't feel he really cared for Lyrion or Kevris. I mean, I can see the potential for him to care and love, but I didn't really see it in this book, even though he claimed he did love them. His actions were more selfish than anything else. He even flipped out when Lyrion mentioned missing his home and his fathers. Keep in mind he was kidnapped and never got to say goodbye or anything.
It was all very douche-y. I found the plot to be rushed, but then aft 1. I found the plot to be rushed, but then after reading the summary of the second book, I realized that this was a continued story, not a stand-alone, and it made a bit more sense. Though I wish I realized that before hand. I don't know if I'll continue the series. I didn't like the characters, so I probably won't.
Too bad, as I do like the concept of elves as they're not the most common compared to vampires and shifters. Oh, well.
Nov 02, multitaskingmomma rated it really liked it. Lyrion's Gift is an mpreg novel that reads well until the end and then you have to start looking for a continuation. This book ended so abruptly and I had to wait until I got the second book to find out. This is no stand alone book, even if many would think it is. My recommendation is not to read this book unless the second book, Gregar's Passion, is readily available, or else it just leaves the readers hanging.

This is one of those titles. I only finished reading it because it was so short, and by the time I was almost done, I just went on because I couldn't believe it was really going to go like that. They are, in turn, a spoiled and entitled jerk, a whorish bimbo, and a clueless mess who is sad and angry about being married off to someone he doesn't like but is apparently ok with being kidnapped, raped, and impregnated by the selfish jerk previously mentioned. I found out my question from book 1, this time we follow Lyrion and his friends.bettermattress.net/wp-content/iphone/vynam-e-postayla-facebook.html

There are many misconceptions, but also the unveiling of a person who abuses his power and think they can win the love with rape. I have a better understanding of the dynamics of the two races and an insight into their culture. The story is great and I wish the story was longer. Can't wait to read the other books. Loved the story and laughed a few times during the book. Have to admit the way some of the characters acted during the birth of lyrions child you would think they had never heard tales of child birth. May 16, Maya rated it really liked it.
